Lindsay's story

An experienced telemarketer, Lindsay originally came to me to find out more about coaching skills to find out if it was something that would be good to add to her portfolio of skills that she could use with marketing clients.

Although this was a new approach for me, we worked out a 6 week programme to meet Lindsay’s’ exact needs, that included sharing with her resources & coaching her on the core skills I consider key to understanding how coaching makes a difference with clients – how to structure sessions, what effective listening is, questioning techniques, how to work with the inner self, and using wheel of life.

Lindsay has used the process to both refine how she works with her clients, including contracting to meet newly reset boundaries to increase her own work life balance, and do more of what she loves – spending time with her family.

She’s a real example of coaching bringing out themes that you just weren’t expecting to be there – through working through the wheel of life as a client we were able to establish that across the board Lindsay needed to focus on how to set boundaries that had “stickability” – and that actually the boundaries touched on more issues than she thought!  By putting into place criteria about who she works with, when, and what expectations are, Lindsay has set herself up for success and time to develop the next exciting stage of her journey.
